100_3513Mitchell Memorial Forrest is a 1,336 acre park, with beautiful trees, a lake, play areas, picnic areas, and biking and walking trails.  Visitors can fish in the lake, but all catches must be released.

The 3.9 mile biking trail in Mitchell Memorial Forrest has some of the most beautiful scenery that nature has to offer, as does the Wood Duck Nature trail.  The Wood Duck trail is for hiking only and runs about one mile long (it takes around 45 minutes to hike it.

The park has several picnic areas, along with one shelter.  Most of the picnic spots have grills here and there throughout the areas.  Be careful with them, put your fires out, and clean up your messes.

The play ground area has a swing set, slides, and a ‘jungle jim’ over a rubber mulched piece of ground.  This is surrounded by a large grassy area, perfect for tossing ball or Frisbee. For more information, click here: http://www.hamiltoncountyparks.org/parks/mitchellmemorial.htm
