Cleves Residents Recycled 42 Tons in 2016

Congratulations Cleves residents! In 2016, we recycled 41.55 tons of metal, glass, plastic and paper. Residents saved resources, conserved energy, and reduced pollution by recycling.

The recycling efforts in Cleves:

  • Conserved enough energy to power every home in Cleves for 3 days.
  • Reduced more air pollution than if every household in Cleves rode their bicycle to work for 2 weeks.
  • Saved 358 trees from being harvested.

 

On average, each household in Cleves recycled 87 pounds in 2016. That’s 2.78% of all the waste we generate.

  • Office Paper
  • Brown grocery bags
  • Clean pizza boxes
  • Paper cartons
